416 ABDOMINAL PAIN

Administer oxygen, if appropriate.

If a traumatic cause is suspected, see Protocol #424.

Do NOT allow the patient to eat or drink.

Assess for shock and treat, if appropriate. (See Protocol #415.)

Place patient in a position of comfort.

Transport.
