320 TRAUMATIC CARDIAC ARREST

Simultaneously begin transportation of the patient and Basic Cardiac Life Support procedures, as circumstances permit.

NOTE:TRAUMATIC CARDIAC ARREST IS A CRITICAL, LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY. THE PATIENT SHOULD BE TRANSPORTED IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL OF AN APPROPRIATE TRANSPORT VEHICLE.


Observe spinal injury precautions, if appropriate. (See Protocol #321.)

Request additional assistance.

Do NOT delay transport.

NOTE:

DO NOT USE THE SEMI-AUTOMATIC DEFIBRILLATOR FOR TRAUMATIC CARDIAC ARREST.
